Young girls are going to flip at this big pink amphibian vehicle.
The LARC was built as a military vehicle able to travel over any terrain. Since retirement, this one has been taking guests along the pristine foreshore of Eurimbula National Park, and Bustard Bay north of Agnes Waters and 1770.
There are three tours to choose from: a day-long one which includes several tidal creek crossings, the steep climb up to Bustard Head lighthouse, a guided walk through the grounds and lighthouse keeper cottage followed by the chance to sand-board down the sand dunes of Middle Island; A sand safari, complete with an instructor, to Middle Island; and a shorter one-hour afternoon cruise which gives you a taste of the vehicle without committing to a whole day experience.
On day tours, kids are given the chance to drive the LARC and even a certifiate to prove they have done so. It makes a great show and tell!
